Scott Moore - Candlepin Specialist
Scott grew up bowling at Sammy White's in Brighton, MA since he was 4 years old! He excelled at Candlepin Bowling, scoring his first 100 game at the age of 7 with no bumpers! He has been bowling on leagues his whole life, and remembers watching his Mother bowling on leagues and getting to hang out at the bowling alley while she did!
When Scott was in college at North Eastern, he was a pinsetter mechanic at Kenmore Bowladrome, the bowling center located right under Fenway Park in Boston. It was there that he became familiarized with Bow-Mor Pinsetters.
He bowled in many leagues as well as bowling on the Candlepin Pro-Tour.
In the year 2000 he decided to buy The Needham Bowlaway, it was there that he perfected his skill as a pinsetter mechanic. He also became co-owner of the Stoughton Sports Center shortly after with his wife Liz.
He was the Head mechanic at Boston Bowl Hanover and rebuilt their pinsetters from the ground up, as well as working on the Janes Machines at Lanes and Games in Cambridge as a mechanic.
Since then he has been working as a traveling Candlepin Specialist going to any lanes that need specialized work above and beyond just the day to day pin jams and small maintenance issues, He specializes in electronic work on the machines as well as the pinsetters "brains".
Cam Moore - Candlepin Specialist
Cam grew up in the Candlepin Bowling industry. He was born in 2000 the year his Dad bought the Needham Bowlaway. He doesn't have any memories where bowling was not in the picture somewhere.
Cam joined the family business when he was a teen, helping his Dad with pinsetter maintenace jobs after school and on the weekends. Because he grew up with parents owning small businesses, he has developed a strong work ethic and customer service is in his blood.
Cam has experience with general maintenance all the way to full installs, and is excellent at focusing in on problem areas.
Because Cam was born in 2000 he has a unique outlook as part of the younger generation, He can undersatnd what younger people are looking for when it comes to bowling and can give important insight as we move into the future.
